MOMMY VACATION

07.31.2013 by Lynn Morrison /

Next week I am going away on “vacation” and I use that word quite loosely as I hardly think that staying with your in-laws and sleeping in twin beds with the bedroom door open counts as a vacation. This year I am getting a special treat as Nomad Papa and the girls have left three days early…leaving me at home to work the rest of the week.

Here was the conversation in my house this morning:
Me – Are you going on vacation today without mommy?
Addy – Yes.
Me – Are you leaving mommy at home all by herself?
Addy – Yes.
Me – Do you think that mommy will be sad while you are gone?
Addy – No.

At age four, she already knows me well enough to know without a doubt that the party will start as soon as she is out the door.

Here is a little video for all of you about what I am going to do while the family is away. (Hint – it isn’t chores..) It is a mommy vacation!
